The Best One-Piece Bathing Suits for Summer

Did you know the one-piece is actually the one style of swimsuit that looks great on all body types? In the past year, styles available in one-pieces have increased and I’m not hating it. You would have never seen me in a one-piece before, but I recently noticed I was buying more one-pieces than two-piece suits. There are a number of different styles available and I find them much more flattering on me! Have you tried the one piece trend yet? Below are some suits I have had my eye on for awhile. The Solid and Striped suit with an open back Plus if it is your first time buying from them you receive…

    Skirt Combinations for Spring

I recently received this skirt from 6ix label and I thought was it was perfect to pair with heels and go on date night. However, the day was feeling great out and I was itching to wear it. I decide to dress it down and create a more casual look to wear out to lunch. A white collar shirt and black mules were the perfect touches. Check out some more spring skirt combinations I have fallen in love with below. You can find the skirt I am wearing here. Scroll right to see all outfit choices!

    Striped Blouse and Pleated Sleeves

Happy Friday everyone! This week has differently been a busy one and I welcomed the weekend with opened arms. I find myself this season trying pieces I normally wouldn’t be attracted to. I’m usually pulled towards more neutrals and blacks. However, when you are in such a colorful place you cannot help to put a little color into your pieces. This red and white striped blouse was perfect for spending the day walking around Charleston.  Plus, I cannot get enough of these white mules. White is perfect for the spring and lightens up any outfit you plan to wear with them. Check out some similar tops and mules below. The Jeffrey Campbell’s…

    The Fishnet Tight Trend

Since it doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon, I decided to give the fishnet trend a try. I honestly thought it was one of those trends I would never be able to pull off and it wouldn’t last long anyway. However, when shopping online I needed one more item to receive the free shipping. It was the perfect excuse to buy a pair and try them out. When I first received them, they sat in the box for months because I just wasn’t sure how to style them. After I took them out I realized how easy they go with almost anything! I first tried them under jeans and I LOVED the…

Home tour | A look around our townhouse

We’ve been in our new place almost a year and our lease is coming to an end. I never officially shared a tour of our place yet, so I thought now was a perfect time to do so on the blog. We decided to move from an apartment to a townhouse for more freedom in the renting world. What really appealed to us here is the open layout! Once you walk through the front door you can see the back door, that’s how open it is. So, we are really hoping our next place will be just as open! The Living Room Our living room was a tough one to layout. It took…

    Asymmetrical Tops

Does anyone else have problems with their sleeves being way too long for them?! I constantly have to get my sleeves taken up on my tops. Are my arms just extra short compared to normal arms?! haha Anyway, I bought this shirt in the winter but was never able to fully show it off. Since it has warmed up, I am able to wear it without a coat/jacket covering it up. I’ve seen plenty of asymmetrical tops and they can easily look outdated, actually, most remind me of the 90s. However, this one works well because it has a subtle draped looked. I’ve paired it with some distressed jeans to add texture…

    Flowy Tunics For Changing Seasons

Once spring hits, a majority of my shirt choices change to flowy tunics. They are so perfect for the changing weather and I’m surprised I don’t see more people wearing them.  Especially since it still feels like Winter most mornings, then summer in the afternoon. You can leave your house in long sleeves and pants, then as the day warms up you are still comfortable because of the light loose fabric.  Keeping it in a natural color also allows you to be professional and will also look good with jean shorts at the beach. I also wore this tunic with a faux leather shirt and fishnets, it was perfect for a night out…

The perfect vacation outfit for Mexico

When I realized I was going to Mexico for vacation, I knew I wanted clothes I would be comfortable in all day long. I could stay cool during a long day of activities, but could also wear it to a nice dinner that night. I came across Faithfull on Instagram and immediately fell in love. I seriously wanted to buy every item on their site! Plus, I love their about me page, “TO INSPIRE HER TO EXPLORE, TO WORK HARD & FOR WHAT SHE BELIEVES IN, SEEK BALANCE, ENJOY LIFE, FEEL GOOD ABOUT THE PRODUCTS SHE PURCHASES AND ABOVE ALL – TRAVEL.” and I couldn’t agree more with all the above.  What…

    The Embroidered Trend Continues

The embroidered trend continues into Spring and I can’t say I’m mad about it.  This has to be one of my favorite fashion trends in awhile that I could wear every day. I remember when I was younger my mother use to sew embroidered ribbon to my pant’s legs to make them appear longer. I grew out of clothes so fast, this was an easy fix for an extra 2 inches. I always got excited to pick out the embroidered pattern, so you could guess how happy I was when it came back in style last Fall! One of my favorite embroidered pieces isn’t even clothing, it’s my phone case. Check out…

Hiking from Boca de Tomatlan to Las Animas – Mexico part 2

Before going to Puerto Vallarta I did a lot of searching to find activities to do outside the city. Puerto Vallarta is definitely a resort city full of retirees, so finding something low key was pretty hard. I found a good bit of reviews and posts about a hike from Boca to Animas. Mostly, all the post were from 2014 and not the most up to date. That being said, the hike is not as secluded as it used to be and we passed multiple groups of people. However, Colin and I both agree this hike made the trip to Puerto Vallarta. We took a bus from our place (about 15…
