    Velvet blazer

Zara always has some major sale going on and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to not get this blazer. I’ve been wanting a velvet blazer for some time, however, blazers are so hard to find that fit properly and aren’t over expensive! I took a chance and bought this one since it was under half the price it was original. And I love it! I took these photos before leaving on Vacation, so it’s much warmer now 🙂

    Cardigan weather

As the weather gets warmer (then drops again) I cannot help to think of all the winter weather we did not have this year. I am such a fan of winter and upset I did not wear all of my winter coats to their fullest this year. Pretty soon I am going to be packing up all my winter clothes to make room for spring. Seems way too soon! Here are pictures from a warmer day last week. Below check out a few of my favorite cardigans for the warmer weather:

    Charleston pt. 1

When is the Fall weather going to get here?! I’m pretty sad I haven’t been able to wear a coat or layer yet! While we were in Charleston, I was hoping it would have been a bit more chiller because of the sea breeze, sadly it was just as warm as Charlotte 🙁 Colin’s parents still live in Charleston, so we visit a good bit. We are such fans of this city and Colin keeps trying to talk me into moving there. Every time we visit, we try not to ever eat at the same place twice. That gets harder when coffee is involved, we are both very picky when it…

    Lose button downs

You can never go wrong with a lose button down. At one point my closet was filled with over 15 different types.  They are perfect for any season, in the spring you can wear them with a fitted jean and slip on, while staying cool. When it turns to summer, you can wear them with shorts and still look effortless put together. I grabbed this one from asos when they were having a sale and it is easily one of my favorites. It’s a great color for the spring/summer months and the material is super soft and cozy. 🙂 Shop some of my favorite button downs from asos below: Follow

    Fringe for Fridays

I’ve been mixing my winter and spring looks, to get the most out of my winter clothes before I have to pack them away. This dress was definitely a winter one, it was sleeveless, but thick and a turtleneck.  It was perfect for a cool spring night to a new restaurant in town. I recently picked up this cardigan from H&M. I don’t usually buy much from them, but every once in awhile I find something I fall in love with there. They have a few nice embroidered pieces as well that I have included below.  I thought it was a nice funky piece I could add to a plain dress.…

    Mellow Yellow

These pants are one of the rare items of clothing that I have had for years and still haven’t went out of style. I remember when I first got them, I hardly wore them but over time fell in love with the way they fit.  They are super tight in the legs and high waisted, they look great with a tucked in shirt and a pair of heels. Below are similar styles all under $100

I have been spending my last few weekends searching for apartments.  I’m so ready to have a new apartment and much more room.  We have out grown ours so fast in just a year. Our stuff has just doubled in size and there is no room in out tiny one bedroom anymore. I think we have finally picked our top 3 and are just waiting to see what comes available in the next month, but can’t wait! Shirt: Asos   Pants: Zara   Shoes: Aldo

    Double western

I’ve been wanting to get this style belt for a long time, it has been so popular lately. However, I never made the move to actually get one. I saw this one at the last minute when I was checking out on asos, so I went ahead and ordered it. I’ve never been big on wearing belts, but this style is really nice and gives off a bit of an edge. Its not that great to put on, but it’s well worth it! I’ve settled for a less expensive version from Asos, but you can buy the original version here.  You can also find in below.   Top: Asos   Pants: Zara   Bag:…
