Italy Part 3: Tuscany and Florence

Be sure to check out the rest of our trip to Italy Part 1 – Rome | Part 2 – Pompeii and Positano After our last breakfast on the Amalfi Coast, we packed our car and headed towards Tuscany. We spent most of the day in the car. It took around 6 hours to reach our next airbnb. On the way, we stopped by the Saturnia hot springs. The springs were packed with people, but we had to jump in and experience it for ourselves. I could see myself coming here after work and just relaxing into the night. After the springs, we headed to our airbnb. It was out in the middle…

Italy Part 2: Pompeii and Positano

Be sure to check out the rest of our trip to ItalyPart 1 – Rome  We said goodbye to Rome with buttered croissants, great coffee and headed off in our rental car. We rented from Eurpocar, making it easy to pick up our car in Rome and dropping it off in Venice. We got pretty use to driving in Italy on the way out of Rome. We learned pretty fast to just let people over and pull out in front if you need to turn (no one is going to stop for you if you just sit there). Overall, driving seemed pretty easy. Our third day in Italy we planned…

Iceland Part 3: Fjaðrárgljúfur and Vík

Be sure to check out the rest of our trip to Iceland Part 1  |  Part 2 Day three in Iceland is going to be a long one and filled with GoT locations! We woke up in Vík and headed right out the door. We never saw one of our hotels in daylight and the funny thing is, I paid extra for rooms with a view. Such a waste, but I wasn’t even thinking when I booked the rooms! Our first stop was Fjaðrárgljúfur (I have no clue how to say that out loud). This stop was at the top of my list when planning our trip.  The pictures of Fjaðrárgljúfur…

Iceland Part 2: Jökulsárlón and the Ice Caves

What I am wearing: Only Parka, ASOS Scarf, GH Bass Boots (on sale!), Thermals For our first full day in Iceland we decided to head to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.  Since we were already going to be on the east side of the island, we also booked an ice cave tour. We got a late start to the day waiting on the hotel to serve breakfast. Even though it was the best breakfast we had in Iceland, I would’ve skipped it for more daylight to explore. Daylight lasted from 10:30 to 3:30, only about 5 hours total. When it was cloudy, it seemed even shorter and it was cloudy/raining 3 out of the…

Our Trip to the Florida Springs

Right before I fell into the water You can’t really tell, but the water below me is about 15 feet deep. Devil’s eye   A few weeks ago, Colin and I both took a Friday off and decided to head to a place we’ve been wanting to visit for awhile, the Florida Springs. We left after work on Thursday and headed down to the middle of nowhere Florida. When we arrived it was two in the morning and pitch black. We had no clue where to go, so we found a spot inside the park and camped for the night. We woke up super early and headed to the springs. It was…
