Italy Part 4: Portofino and Venice

Be sure to check out the rest of our trip to Italy Part 1 – Rome | Part 2 – Pompeii and Positano | Part 3 – Tuscany and Florence I’m sad this is my last blog post from Italy, I love looking back at all the images we took! The last two cities we visited in Italy were Portofino and Venice. I actually booked Portofino by accident, thinking I was booking a hotel outside the Cinque Terre.  It ended up being a 3 hours drive difference, so we headed straight to Portofino after leaving Pisa. On our way to the hotel, we were stopped by a road block turning away all traffic from Portofino.…

    Italy Part 1: Rome

Colin and I started planning our trip to Italy a few years ago, but ended up not taking it because I changed jobs. We didn’t know where we wanted to go this year, so we decided to pull out our old plans and go to Italy!  Our original trip was planned for two weeks, so we had to cut a few cities from our list and my mom also joined us. We flew into Rome at 9:30am and were ready to get exploring. I love taking red eyes and arriving at our destination in the mornings. It allows us to hit the ground running and not mess up our sleep…

    My Favorite Vacation Looks

For the past month I have been ordering looks for my trip in May. I love planning out my outfits before taking a trip, because it makes it easy to get up in the morning and go. It is hard for me to find clothing that is stylish yet comfortable to wear all day, so I started my quest early! I’ve already ordered and sent multiple things back that just weren’t right. The other day, I was sharing all my outfits I ordered with Colin and he pointed something out. Everything, I mean EVERYTHING, I ordered are stripes and linen, I may have a problem! Seriously, I have a dress, jumpsuit, romper,…

    “My Fancy Shoes”

I wore these shoes the last time I went home and my grandmother called them my “fancy shoes”. Now, that’s what I think about every time I wear them. I love the pop of color these loafers add to this otherwise simple look. When I added these shoes to my closet, I realized I own a lot pair of loafers. Seriously, they are my favorite style of shoe and so comfortable. Shop some of my favorites below.

    Linen Skirts

Happy Hump Day! I swear, it feels like everyone on my Instagram feed is wearing sweaters or coats already, not skirts! I bought a few kits a couple of weeks ago, but haven’t gotten to wear them because it’s still so warm here. Here is a look I wore recently when we were down in Charleston.  It was SO humid there my top kept stretching out! By mid-day, I had to change because my top would not stay up! But other than that, I think this was one of my favorite looks all summer! This look is currently sold out but… Shop a similar look below:

    Blue Striped Dress

Happy Wednesday! Here are a few images from a couple weeks ago. I’ve been sharing a lot of them already on Instagram, but keep forgetting to include the whole look on the blog! I’ve also been playing around with different photo editing styles. I’ve been spending the last hour trying to decide if I should start using them on the blog or not. I skipped it for this set, but hope to share some of them in my next post! You can find my Dress Here

    Florals For Summer

Well, I finally received my external hard drive back and can start posting blogs again! If you don’t know, my external decided to die a few weeks ago. It had ALL of my blog photos and the past 5 years of my life on it. I paid a crazy amount to get it recovered and didn’t even recovery half of the photos that were there before. 🙁 Don’t be like me and ALWAYS, ALWAYS, back up your files. ANYWAY…. I’ve been obsessing over florals this summer. Florals are the easiest print to dress up without much work. They automatically make an effortless look appear like you spent hours getting ready. When…

The Best One-Piece Bathing Suits for Summer

Did you know the one-piece is actually the one style of swimsuit that looks great on all body types? In the past year, styles available in one-pieces have increased and I’m not hating it. You would have never seen me in a one-piece before, but I recently noticed I was buying more one-pieces than two-piece suits. There are a number of different styles available and I find them much more flattering on me! Have you tried the one piece trend yet? Below are some suits I have had my eye on for awhile. The Solid and Striped suit with an open back Plus if it is your first time buying from them you receive…

    Asymmetrical Tops

Does anyone else have problems with their sleeves being way too long for them?! I constantly have to get my sleeves taken up on my tops. Are my arms just extra short compared to normal arms?! haha Anyway, I bought this shirt in the winter but was never able to fully show it off. Since it has warmed up, I am able to wear it without a coat/jacket covering it up. I’ve seen plenty of asymmetrical tops and they can easily look outdated, actually, most remind me of the 90s. However, this one works well because it has a subtle draped looked. I’ve paired it with some distressed jeans to add texture…

The perfect vacation outfit for Mexico

When I realized I was going to Mexico for vacation, I knew I wanted clothes I would be comfortable in all day long. I could stay cool during a long day of activities, but could also wear it to a nice dinner that night. I came across Faithfull on Instagram and immediately fell in love. I seriously wanted to buy every item on their site! Plus, I love their about me page, “TO INSPIRE HER TO EXPLORE, TO WORK HARD & FOR WHAT SHE BELIEVES IN, SEEK BALANCE, ENJOY LIFE, FEEL GOOD ABOUT THE PRODUCTS SHE PURCHASES AND ABOVE ALL – TRAVEL.” and I couldn’t agree more with all the above.  What…
