Our Trip to the Florida Springs

A few weeks ago, Colin and I both took a Friday off and decided to head to a place we’ve been wanting to visit for awhile, the Florida Springs. We left after work on Thursday and headed down to the middle of nowhere Florida. When we arrived it was two in the morning and pitch black. We had no clue where to go, so we found a spot inside the park and camped for the night.

We woke up super early and headed to the springs. It was the clearest water I have ever seen, so clear that when I first stepped into the water I fell all the way under. What looked like 2 feet of water ended up being 5.  Good thing I fell under or it would have taken me an hour to get in. I was not prepared for how cold the water was. They say the water is 72°F year round and if that is true, 72 is ALOT colder than you expect. At one time I could not even feel my hand it was so cold!
