    48 HOURS IN DUBAI

Traveling during this pandemic was no easy task, but it did allow Colin and I to experience trips we otherwise would not have be able to afford. Africa has been on my bucket list for as far back as I can remember, however, the cost of the trip there was always holding me back. I pick a lot of our destinations based on the cost of flight/hotel, not on our urge to travel there. That’s exactly how we ended up going to Africa out of the blue! Our trip to Tahiti was cancelled a week before we were to leave, so I started looking through my saved album of dream…

    Out West: Part 1

This blog post has been way over-due, but now that I am officially done planning a wedding, I have some time to think. Don’t worry, I will be sharing a post about our wedding too! We ended up going out west last year, because we both have never been and it wasn’t going to cost us an arm and leg. Planning a wedding AND honeymoon has been expensive, but I still needed a small trip to somewhere mixed in. I planned the first 3 nights of the trip out, then didn’t know where to go next. I had almost 20 points of interest saved on my google maps, but knew…

Italy Part 3: Tuscany and Florence

Be sure to check out the rest of our trip to Italy Part 1 – Rome | Part 2 – Pompeii and Positano After our last breakfast on the Amalfi Coast, we packed our car and headed towards Tuscany. We spent most of the day in the car. It took around 6 hours to reach our next airbnb. On the way, we stopped by the Saturnia hot springs. The springs were packed with people, but we had to jump in and experience it for ourselves. I could see myself coming here after work and just relaxing into the night. After the springs, we headed to our airbnb. It was out in the middle…

Can Never Go Wrong with Black

Cannot believe I am writing a post on Valentine’s Day and it’s not about Valentine’s! I figured if you haven’t planned anything/gotten a gift yet, you might be a little late! However, if you still need ideas Daryl-Ann’s blog, has some great ideas about what to wear, do, or buy!  It’s getting to that time of year where you have to guess what the temperature outside is going to be. Two days ago it was super warm and I was sweating in a sweater. Yesterday it was freezing! Better to dress in layers and removed throughout the day. Here’s an (almost) all black outfit I wore a few days ago when…

    The Pearl Skirt

I was going through some of my old photos and realized there are a lot of outfits I have yet to post on here, and there are so many I want to share! This skirt was one of my favorite items from last month. I love the pearl details this jean skirt has and it goes with just about anything. It makes a plain black top interesting. However, I am a master at getting white dirty! When I looked at this skirt the next morning it was definitely off white. It almost looked like I did my makeup and rubbed my hands all over my skirt, seriously.  This exact skirt is…

    Double western

I’ve been wanting to get this style belt for a long time, it has been so popular lately. However, I never made the move to actually get one. I saw this one at the last minute when I was checking out on asos, so I went ahead and ordered it. I’ve never been big on wearing belts, but this style is really nice and gives off a bit of an edge. Its not that great to put on, but it’s well worth it! I’ve settled for a less expensive version from Asos, but you can buy the original version here.  You can also find in below.   Top: Asos   Pants: Zara   Bag:…

    First signs of Fall

I have never been into Boyfriend jeans, but I do find them attractive on some girls. I have had this pair for a few years and never took them out of my closet. Some days I think of an outfit that would go well with boyfriend jeans, but once I get up and put them on, I immediately think what a bad idea it was. Haha.  I just must not have the body shape to make them look as good as most people. However, I did find this pairing to my liking, a big sweater is never a bad idea.   Sweater: H&M Pants: Old Shoes: Forever21
