    Out West: Part 2

It has felt like everything was against me writing this blog post. I’ve been sick going on two weeks now, nothing serious, but i’ve been so tired! Plus, we are hosting Christmas dinner this year and I’m rushing to clean and plan dinner. Right after I post this, i’m running to the store and trying to get my life together after being housebound for two weeks. Anyway, here is part two of our trip out west.  After staying the night in Joshua Tree Aces, we headed to the national park on our way out of town. We were able to drive in before they opened and made it to most of…

    Out West: Part 1

This blog post has been way over-due, but now that I am officially done planning a wedding, I have some time to think. Don’t worry, I will be sharing a post about our wedding too! We ended up going out west last year, because we both have never been and it wasn’t going to cost us an arm and leg. Our time in New York was pretty short and busy, but we wanted to fit in as much as possible. Our second day there we woke up at 5:30am and headed toward the finger lakes. It has been on my list for some time now and we were going to be so close to it! So, we rented a car for two days and crammed everything outside the city into it. The ride out there was so beautiful and most of…

Our Trip to the Florida Springs

Right before I fell into the water You can’t really tell, but the water below me is about 15 feet deep. Devil’s eye   A few weeks ago, Colin and I both took a Friday off and decided to head to a place we’ve been wanting to visit for awhile, the Florida Springs. We left after work on Thursday and headed down to the middle of nowhere Florida. When we arrived it was two in the morning and pitch black. We had no clue where to go, so we found a spot inside the park and camped for the night. We woke up super early and headed to the springs. It was…

    The Grove Park Inn

See, huge fireplaces! Views from the Blue Ridge Restaurant “Smokey” because of the wild fires Have any of you ever been the the Grove Park Inn!?! If not, you need to make a trip tomorrow for real! Especially during the holidays when everything is decorated and beautiful. This was our second year making a trip to the Grove Park Inn to enjoy Sunday brunch with Colin’s parents. It never disappoints, it seriously is the best brunch I have ever had! Plus, it is a buffet and I never even have enough room to taste everything in the restaurant. I am still dreaming about the food 🙂 After brunch, we always spend some time…
