    Christmas 2016

I cannot believe Christmas has passed already! This year Colin and I spent Christmas morning in Charleston with his family. Colin’s family is huge compared to mine, so it can be a bit hectic at times. However, I always enjoy getting together with his family, it’s like a small reunion because they all live allover and are very different from each other. The first night there Colin and I cooked dinner for 15 people, even though I enjoy cooking it was a lot of work and took 5 hours! The next day Colin’s mom rented a carriage ride for the whole family to take around Charleston. On Christmas eve, at…

    Shiny Knits

December has to be the most unpredictable month of the year in the south. Just the other day I was walking around the block in my workout shorts and now the weather is saying we are going to be getting freezing rain this weekend. I never know what to wear until I step outside in the mornings and the most frustrating is not being able to store my summer clothes away, because I might need them tomorrow! Anyway, while trying to organize my summer and winter clothes, I found this knit sweater dress I bought from MINKPINK (similar) during the Summer. I decided to dress it down a bit because…

    The perfect tree

My boots were covered in dirt because it was so dry! Marley looks so confused lol Hot cider 🙂 This is our second year cutting our own tree and living together for the holidays!! I hope we can keep up this tradition up, because we both enjoy it.  Last year we picked out the perfect little tree for our small one bedroom apartment (trust me, it was small!). This year we spent a good while finding one we thought would be small enough. However, when we brought it inside and opened it up, it was huge! We knew it was too big the second we stood it up and it hit our…

    Charleston pt. 2

To tell the truth, I originally bought this sweater dress thinking it was just a chunky sweater. But I guess that’s what I get for not wanting to try anything on! Personally, I hate trying clothes on it the store, especially during the colder months when there are three layers to take off! However, I am loving how this look turned out. I’ve also been loving these over the knee boots lately, I’ve been wearing them almost every chance I get! Maybe a bit too much 😉

    Charleston pt. 1

When is the Fall weather going to get here?! I’m pretty sad I haven’t been able to wear a coat or layer yet! While we were in Charleston, I was hoping it would have been a bit more chiller because of the sea breeze, sadly it was just as warm as Charlotte 🙁 Colin’s parents still live in Charleston, so we visit a good bit. We are such fans of this city and Colin keeps trying to talk me into moving there. Every time we visit, we try not to ever eat at the same place twice. That gets harder when coffee is involved, we are both very picky when it…

    The Slip Dress

Even though I work in the City, I hardly go visit it on the weekend. Sitting in traffic everyday really puts you off wanting to go back to a place. haha. Anyway, there isn’t much open when its not a 9-5 weekday. The city its self is made up of mostly corporate offices and apartments. So, the other weekend Colin and I parked and just walked around the city a bit. I’ve actually never adventured to this side before, but it was super cute. I love looking at all the different houses, mostly because I am only dreaming of the day I own my own. This day was a bit warmer than…

    Little black dress

I cannot believe it is still warm enough for me to wear this little black dress. It’s crazy how the weather has been this year. Some mornings it is freezing when I wake up and others it feels like summer outside. The night I wore this dress it was very mild, almost too warm (this dress is very thick material)! I’m always up for wearing black on black, such an easy and great look! A few weeks ago Colin and I took a mini vacation down to Orlando, FL. I’ve never been to Disney World, so we did a few days at their parks and at Universal. I did enjoy…

    Flowers for Fall

It’s finally becoming cool outside, so i’m making sure I get the most out of my summer styles. However, I believe a lot of styles summer styles can still work for Fall if you style them right! October is such a busy and exciting month for us! Two of my friends are getting married and my brother, in South Korea! Sadly, I won’t be able to attend, but I look forward to hearing all about it and seeing the pictures of my new family. I also have a small vacation planned for us, that includes a lot of food and wine! There is not a weekend I am free this month…

    Transitioning to Fall

Changing your wardrobe to a different season can sometimes be hard. I know here in the south, it usually doesn’t become sweater weather until late November. I have already bought 2 set of boots and a vary of long sleeves that I won’t be able to wear until sometime this season. If you follow girls from the north or Europe on your Instagram, like I do, you already know they are getting chiller weather and I am super jealous!  I am ready for chiller days and sweaters, but Summer seems to be holding on. Since it will be officially Fall in 4 days, we all want to start wearing Fall treads. The…

    Beat the heat

I am in love with this off-the-shoulder top! I was surprised when I saw it was from H&M at first because it is such nice material and chic. Plus, you can wear it with just about anything. Here I did a super causal look because the weather in Charleston is almost unbearable in just about anything but shorts or a dress. Shop the look below!
