    The Fishnet Tight Trend

Since it doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon, I decided to give the fishnet trend a try. I honestly thought it was one of those trends I would never be able to pull off and it wouldn’t last long anyway. However, when shopping online I needed one more item to receive the free shipping. It was the perfect excuse to buy a pair and try them out. When I first received them, they sat in the box for months because I just wasn’t sure how to style them. After I took them out I realized how easy they go with almost anything! I first tried them under jeans and I LOVED the…

    Asymmetrical Tops

Does anyone else have problems with their sleeves being way too long for them?! I constantly have to get my sleeves taken up on my tops. Are my arms just extra short compared to normal arms?! haha Anyway, I bought this shirt in the winter but was never able to fully show it off. Since it has warmed up, I am able to wear it without a coat/jacket covering it up. I’ve seen plenty of asymmetrical tops and they can easily look outdated, actually, most remind me of the 90s. However, this one works well because it has a subtle draped looked. I’ve paired it with some distressed jeans to add texture…

    Flowy Tunics For Changing Seasons

Once spring hits, a majority of my shirt choices change to flowy tunics. They are so perfect for the changing weather and I’m surprised I don’t see more people wearing them.  Especially since it still feels like Winter most mornings, then summer in the afternoon. You can leave your house in long sleeves and pants, then as the day warms up you are still comfortable because of the light loose fabric.  Keeping it in a natural color also allows you to be professional and will also look good with jean shorts at the beach. I also wore this tunic with a faux leather shirt and fishnets, it was perfect for a night out…

The perfect vacation outfit for Mexico

When I realized I was going to Mexico for vacation, I knew I wanted clothes I would be comfortable in all day long. I could stay cool during a long day of activities, but could also wear it to a nice dinner that night. I came across Faithfull on Instagram and immediately fell in love. I seriously wanted to buy every item on their site! Plus, I love their about me page, “TO INSPIRE HER TO EXPLORE, TO WORK HARD & FOR WHAT SHE BELIEVES IN, SEEK BALANCE, ENJOY LIFE, FEEL GOOD ABOUT THE PRODUCTS SHE PURCHASES AND ABOVE ALL – TRAVEL.” and I couldn’t agree more with all the above.  What…

    The Embroidered Trend Continues

The embroidered trend continues into Spring and I can’t say I’m mad about it.  This has to be one of my favorite fashion trends in awhile that I could wear every day. I remember when I was younger my mother use to sew embroidered ribbon to my pant’s legs to make them appear longer. I grew out of clothes so fast, this was an easy fix for an extra 2 inches. I always got excited to pick out the embroidered pattern, so you could guess how happy I was when it came back in style last Fall! One of my favorite embroidered pieces isn’t even clothing, it’s my phone case. Check out…

    Velvet blazer

Zara always has some major sale going on and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to not get this blazer. I’ve been wanting a velvet blazer for some time, however, blazers are so hard to find that fit properly and aren’t over expensive! I took a chance and bought this one since it was under half the price it was original. And I love it! I took these photos before leaving on Vacation, so it’s much warmer now 🙂

    Puerto Vallarta – Day 1

Heading to the New part of town Loved exploring the streets Made the mistake of petting the cat So, it followed us around a bit I’ve been back from Mexico two days and I’m ready to start planning for our next trip. I usually include all the details for our trip in one giant post, however, this time I am going to write smaller separate posts. For our first day in Mexico, we spent most of our time hanging out at our hotel/beach and exploring the city. This was the first trip that I did not plan everything before arriving. To tell you the truth, Puerto Vallarta seemed really touristy on…

    Boyfriend coat

When I shared this look on Instagram, it received great feedback. So, I wanted to share it here where you can shop the look below.   When I first saw it online I wasn’t too sure I would like it. I have such a love/hate relationship with anything boyfriend fit. I actually came back two days later to give it a try and I’m glad I did! I’ve been wearing this boyfriend coat non-stop lately. The fit is easily dressed up for the office or down for a day of errands and a plus its not too heavy!

    Cardigan weather

As the weather gets warmer (then drops again) I cannot help to think of all the winter weather we did not have this year. I am such a fan of winter and upset I did not wear all of my winter coats to their fullest this year. Pretty soon I am going to be packing up all my winter clothes to make room for spring. Seems way too soon! Here are pictures from a warmer day last week. Below check out a few of my favorite cardigans for the warmer weather:

    The great winter storm

coffee is always a must on snow days! We don’t have many snow storms in the south, so when Colin and I found out we were going to have one we had to go to the mountains. We left Friday after work and drove to the cabin. It didn’t start snowing until we were 20 minutes away and it really started to come down. There was already an inch on the ground when we arrive and headed out to dinner. The next day we headed into Asheville bright and early, actually before the sun even came up. It was still snowing and there was over 5 inches on the ground…
