Last week we went up to the Biltmore estate to experience the candlelight tour. I have visited to the Biltmore a couple of times in the past year and I still enjoy walking the house and grounds. I must admit I was a bit disappointed when it wasn’t an actually candlelight tour (most of the rooms were lit with more than just candlelight). However, the Biltmore never ceases to amaze me and I still enjoyed walking from room to room to see the different christmas decorations. I did not do the audio tour this time, as I would have been in the house for hours, but if you get the chance you should definitely do it. You learn a lot about the family and the different parts of the house that you wouldn’t, if you are just walking through.  I have taken some of the extra behind the scenes tours and also really enjoyed them.

The night before we went to the Omni Grove Park Inn to have dinner and see the National Gingerbread House Competition.  I have eaten here twice, in two different restaurants, and have yet to be disappointed. The food is always amazing and no matter were you seat there is an amazing view.

It wasn’t that cold until the sun started to go down, so I was pretty warm in only this sweater and boots from ASOS. I think I have a thing for turtlenecks this year. :b
